4. Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5. and there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6. And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. 7. Both to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

8. If you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift-
9. not for works, so that no one can boast.
10. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do. Ephesians 2:8-10
When the Lord saved you, it was all His work_you did nothing, and can do nothing, to deserve His salvation.
But the Bible is also clear that God has saved you to work; to be active in His fields.
One of our goals at Lakewood is that each of us be active in at least one ministry (a work inside the church, to one another) and one mission (a work outside the church, to our community and beyond).
With this in mind, here are some current needs in our fellowship. Please pray and ask God if He would have you active in one of these:
Ministry: Toddler Sunday School Teacher
Time: 9:00 – 10:30 AM
Requirements: Member 6 months or more
Currently attending Sunday School
Background check
Mission: Changing the Church Sign
Time: 1 – 2 hours as needed
Requirements: Superior agility
Ability to climb ladder multiple times
