Prayer Makes A Difference

LOVE ON ANOTHER

PRAY FOR OURSELVES AND OUR FAMILIES, PRAY FOR AMERICA, PRAY FOR OUR COMMUNITY, PRAY FOR OUR STATE, PRAY FOR OUR SCHOOLS, PRAY FOR OUR CHILDREN AND YOUTH .

Turning it over to God is the way the Father desires our lives to be.

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalms 55:22

Immediately the Father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Mark 9:25

The Sunday School lesson a couple of Sundays ago, we talked about a man whose son was controlled by a demon. The disciples were powerless to heal the boy. Ultimately the disciples failed because they didn’t seek the only source of real power through prayer.

Like the disciples we often ask, ‘Why can’t we do that or solve that problem?’  Jesus responds to us the same way He responded to the disciples; “This request cannot come out by anything but prayer.”  Mark 9:29

We are powerless because we are prayerless.

The emphasis of this story in the Gospel of Mark is upon prayer. And today the church is weak because prayer is weak in the church.

“If you can believe all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23

If your prayer life is strong- if your relationship with Christ is strong, all things are possible.

Our church offers prayer time in our our sanctuary throughout the week. We also have set prayer times, they are as followed: Saturday Evening at 6:00 pm, Wednesday at 8:00 am and at 12:00 pm for your individual and personal prayers. We have a prayer room that is open on Sunday morning from 9:15 am til 11:30 am where our Prayer Council Chairman Sue Geron is available to you.

Prayer Made The Difference

I got up early this morning, and rushed right into the day;

I had so much to accomplish, that I didn’t have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task;

“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered.

He answered, “You didn’t ask.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day turned out gray and bleak’

I wondered why God didn’t show me.

He said ‘But you didn’t seek.”

I tried to come into God’s presence, I used all my keys in the lock;

God gently and lovingly chided,

“My child, you didn’t knock.”

I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day;

I had so to accomplish,

that I just had to take time to pray.
